HVAC systems that are easy to run, easy to maintain, and built to last.
Since 2003 we've designed heating, cooling and ventilation for hospitals, schools, senior living, offices and industrial plants — with each system chosen for the simplest, most cost-effective, longest-lasting result rather than a one-size-fits-all answer.

Mechanical engineering from load calc to commissioning.
New construction, additions, renovations and system replacements — from a single rooftop unit to a hospital central plant.
Load analysis & system selection
Heating and cooling loads modeled for how the building is actually occupied, with system options compared on first cost and lifetime operating cost.
Air distribution & ventilation
Ductwork, air handling and ventilation design that meets code and keeps spaces comfortable and quiet.
Central plants & hydronics
Chilled-water and heating-water plants, boilers, chillers and pumping for hospitals, campuses and large facilities.
Geothermal (geoexchange)
Ground-source heat pump systems from well-field analysis and bore design through installation and commissioning.
Indoor air quality renovations
Ventilation and HVAC upgrades for occupied buildings, including a long run of IAQ renovations for Lincoln-area schools.
Troubleshooting & assessments
Facility assessments, energy studies and on-site diagnostics for systems that aren't performing the way they should.
Decades of ground-source heat pump design.
Geothermal systems can cut heating and cooling energy dramatically, but only when the well field, loop and heat pumps are sized together. We handle the whole system: well-field evaluation, bore design and loop sizing, heat pump selection, and commissioning, using GSHP Calc and Trane TRACE to model performance before anything is drilled.

Proud to be partners… Almost 50% electrical savings. Almost 75% gas savings. All this with a massive hole in the roof. (Client) very happy!Frederick LerougeControl Management, Inc.
We enjoy introducing AES to clients we come in contact with when they want a closed loop geoexchange system designed… They get results!Russell BurasPresident, Loop Tech International
They are easy to communicate with and seem to get to the root of our needs quickly… which ultimately leads to quicker completion and earlier occupation of our space.Dave KozakDirector, Engineering & Maintenance, CHI Saint Francis Medical Center
